Petition to Open the Future Cause for Sainthood

Our Mission: Canonization for Carole McGuinness

We believe Carole McGuinness lived a life of heroic virtue, radical generosity, and deep Catholic faith — not for attention or status, but because goodness was in her bones.

She didn't chase sainthood. She chased people. She chased joy. She chased God.

This campaign exists to:

Preserve her legacy

Share her impact

And when the time is right — submit her cause for canonization to the Catholic Church.

This isn’t just about honoring her memory.

It’s about offering her life as a model — for mothers, for caregivers, for the quiet servants of the world who never seek credit.

Canonization allows the Church to publicly say: “Here is someone worth imitating.”

Her legacy becomes protected, remembered, and passed down for generations.

What Canonization Means

Canonization is the process by which the Church officially declares someone a saint.

Not to “make” them one, but to publicly recognize what God has already done.

When the Church canonizes someone, it means:

  • The person is definitively in Heaven

  • They are worthy of public veneration

  • The Church offers them as a model of holiness for the world

  • They can be named as a patron for particular people or causes

  • They are spiritually closer to God and can intercede for us more powerfully

  • We are encouraged to pray through them — like we do with St. Joseph or St. Thérèse

  • Miracles often occur through their intercession and are used by the Church as signs of divine approval

  • Their life becomes a public witness and inspiration for the global Church

Carole doesn’t need canonization to be with God — but canonization helps the world see what we already know:

Her life was not ordinary. Her holiness should not be forgotten. Her example should be shared.

💡 Why Bother? Why Not Just Say “She’s a Saint Already”?

Because:

  • Sainthood isn’t just about where someone is — it’s about what their life can do for others

  • Canonization allows the whole Church to be inspired and strengthened by her story

  • Saints become intercessors for millions, not just memories for a few

  • The Church needs modern examples of holiness — mothers, laywomen, encouragers, silent helpers — not just mystics and martyrs

  • This process will document, protect, and preserve her legacy for generations

🌎 What Are the Benefits?

For Us:

  • Keeps her memory alive, with purpose

  • Helps others discover her story and example

  • Brings healing, unity, and spiritual connection for those grieving

For the Church:

  • Offers a modern, relatable role model of holiness

  • Inspires the faithful to live with more humility, generosity, and compassion

  • Shows how saints are not distant figures — they’re people like Carole, among us

For the World:

  • A future patron saint of selfless mothers

  • A symbol of joyful service, quiet strength, and relentless love

  • A reminder that holiness isn’t about being perfect — it’s about giving yourself away

🙏 What You Can Do

  • Share your testimony if you knew her

  • Sign the petition if you believe in her example

  • Submit stories, photos, and memories

  • Pray for her soul — and through her, if you feel called

This isn’t just about honoring her.

It’s about building the case for sainthood — together, as a community.

Let the Church see what we already know:

Carole McGuinness may have been a saint among us.

🕊️ Why It Matters Spiritually

The saints don’t stop working when they die — they start working more.

If Carole is canonized, she becomes a recognized spiritual ally in heaven for all of us.

Just like when she was alive, Carole's STILL someone you can turn to with confidence in times of struggle, illness, fear, or need.

You don’t just honor her.

You gain her as an advocate in Heaven.

  • Pray for her soul — and through her
If Carole is in Heaven (as we believe), her prayers now carry extraordinary power.
The saints are not distant figures — they are alive in Christ, and they pray for us.

  • Ask for her intercession
Miracles — physical, emotional, spiritual — often occur when we humbly ask for the prayers of someone in Heaven.
If any favor, healing, or answered prayer occurs through Carole’s intercession, it may one day become part of the evidence that leads to her canonization.

  • Report any extraordinary experiences
Whether it’s peace during grief, protection in danger, an unlikely healing, or a sudden answered prayer after invoking her — document it. These are not coincidences.
They may be the early signs of a saint at work.

They intercede directly with God on your behalf

  • Just like you'd ask a friend to pray for you, saints intercede with far more power because they’re already in God's presence.

  • Their prayers are pure, constant, and unhindered by earthly distractions.

🌠 They can obtain miracles

  • Miracles are not performed by the saint — they are granted by God through the saint's intercession.

  • These may include:

    • Physical healing

    • Emotional or psychological peace

    • Protection in danger

    • Help overcoming addictions or sin

    • Resolution of impossible situations

  • For canonization, the Church usually requires 1 confirmed miracle for beatification, and another for full sainthood.

🔥 They become patrons and protectors

  • Saints are often associated with specific causes, vocations, struggles, or types of people.

  • Carole could become the patron of:

    • Mothers

    • Caregivers

    • Quiet servants

    • Those grieving in silence

    • Ordinary laypeople who seek holiness in daily life

🕊️ They bring peace and consolation

  • People often report overwhelming peace, a sense of presence, or spiritual calm when praying through a saint.

  • These graces are a sign that the saint is interceding and consoling the soul — even without a dramatic miracle.

✍️ They can help guide you spiritually

  • Saints don’t just intercede — they inspire.

  • Through their example, stories, quotes, and lived holiness, they become models for how to live and love well.

🧠 They can still teach and influence lives

  • Once canonized, saints are added to the universal calendar, written about in books, invoked in prayers, featured in schools, and churches may be dedicated in their name.

  • They shape culture, families, and future generations — long after their earthly life has ended.

📌 Bottom Line:

Saints don’t leave the world. They just operate at a higher level.

By supporting Carole’s future canonization, you’re not just remembering her —
you’re inviting Heaven to keep working through her.
